iCog Research Grants

In 2019/20, iCog was able to award a lim­ited num­ber of small research grants for par­ti­cipant costs in empir­ic­al stud­ies by juni­or research­ers (post­gradu­ate or postdoc­tor­al) work­ing in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary cog­nit­ive science.

Awards were made to the fol­low­ing research­ers and projects:

    • Sophie Cameron, University of Queensland:
      ‘The omis­sion bias in mor­al self licensing’
    • Jessie Nixon, University of Tübingen:
      ‘The neur­os­cience of learn­ing speech from pre­dic­tion error’
    • Zixi Jin, Cardiff University:
      ‘Is the sunny side still up with face expressions?’
